Education Programs for Teachers

At the Heritage Center Museum, we strive to create educational programs that are meaningful, age appropriate, helpful to teachers, and relevant to curriculum incorporating the PA Department of Education Standards.

Our student programs are relevant to curriculum at many grade levels and include programs at the museum or at your school.

Through numerous professional development opportunities, the museum also provides local history education to teachers. Teachers who participate in these workshops will come away with a greater awareness of how studying local history enables the achievement of a breadth of curricular objectives.

An Education Advisory Committee helps us to assess the effectiveness of our programs and to develop new ideas into future programs.
