Student Programs - Exhibit Tours and Activities

Scheduled school group visits to the Heritage Center Museum are
designed primarily for students in grades 2-8 and include a tour
followed by a special activity.
Reservations for exhibit tours and activities are required at
least one week in advance. Admission is FREE. Contact Us.

In 2008 (April 4- December 31), students will tour one of the
following temporary exhibitions:
Amish Arts of Lancaster County
The Print Shop
Patchwork Politics:
From George to George W. (Available June
6- December 31).
After the tour, students can participate in an activity designed
to enhance the learning experience.
- Each student will create an exhibit-related project that will
serve as a reminder of the museum visit.

The activity portion of the visit will take
place in the Jasper Yeates House Education
Center. Located at 24 S. Queen Street, 1/2 block from
the museum, this renovated historic structure is equipped
to accommodate large groups.
- Brown-bag lunches may be eaten either before or after the
program.
- Once registered, teachers will receive a School Visit Preparation
Guide with information about the museum and other materials.
- Cost: FREE
Permanent
Collection

School groups may also tour the permanent collection in a program
tailor-made to specific needs and interests.
All
tour programs are accompanied by an activity at the Jasper Yeates
House.
